
Become a Civic Content Creator and Share Sierra Leone’s Positive Stories!
Theme: Civic Storytelling in Digital Spaces
The Ministry of Information and Civic Education, in partnership with UNDP, invites applications for the Civic Content Creators Training.
This unique program will empower young storytellers to use digital tools, civic values, and creative media to highlight Sierra Leone’s progress and inspire national pride.
Focus Areas
Content creation will align with the government’s Big 5 priorities and the Civic six pillsrs:
– Love Salone
– Feed Salone
– Clean Salone
– Heal Salone
– Digitise Salone
– Salone for We All
Why Join?
As a participant, you will:
– Learn how to create civic-focused content for social media, radio, and TV
– Explore how AI can enhance storytelling and creativity
– Understand media and information literacy for safe and ethical content production
– Receive mentorship from experts in media, technology, and civic education
– Become part of Sierra Leone’s first Civic Content Creators Network
The training will take place during Global Media and Information Literacy Week 2025, under the global theme:
“Minds over AI – MIL in Digital Spaces” which is in partnership with
UNESCO, Africell, and the Ministry of Communication, Technology and Innovation (MoCTI).
Who Can Apply?
We welcome applications from:
– Young content creators, storytellers, and digital enthusiasts
– Students and youth leaders
– Emerging journalists, filmmakers, photographers, musicians, and designers
– Anyone passionate about using civic storytelling to promote Sierra Leone’s development
