
The Ministry of works and Public Assets on Friday, 24th October, 2025, handed over the Miatta Civic Center to the Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MoICE).
The ceremony took place in the meeting room of the facility.
In his opening statement, the Assistant to the Secretary to the President, Patrick Kawa, described the transition as smooth and lauded both Ministries for putting finishing touches to the document, stressing the need for continued collaboration between them.
In his remarks, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Works and Public Asset, Dr.Joe Fayiah Nyuma, expressed delight that they had complied with the directive of His Excellency President Julius Maada Bio.
He thanked the two Ministries for their patience and Mr Kawa for his mediatory role in the process. He said they were open for continued engagement with MoICE on technically related issues.
The Permanent Secretary of MoICE, Andrew Kamara, thanked officials from the Ministry of Works for their cooperation, saying he was pleased that they had finally concluded the process of transferring the facility. He added that they will always endeavour to engage the Ministry of Works on anything pertaining to their mandate.
The program climaxed with the symbolic handing over of keys and necessary documents to the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Civic Education.
