The Ministry of Information and Civic Education (MoICE) held a key planning meeting on November 6, 2025 at the ministry’s conference room, to continue preparations for the 2nd National Civic Festival which is set for December 11th to 13th 2025.
Representatives from MoICE, the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development (MoPED) and various government agencies (MDAs) met to discuss their roles and what is expected ahead of the festival.
The meeting outlined how MDAs will showcase their achievements as they use their booths and exhibitions designed to inform the public about their progress towards the government’s Big 5 goals.
This year’s festival will last for three days and will bring together citizens and international visitors for educational sessions, panel discussions and cultural shows, creating an engaging space for government-citizen dialogue.
The meeting which was facilitated by the Deputy Secretary of MoICE encouraged all participants to take active ownership of their contributions from planning to post-event follow-up.
The focus is on clear communication and collaboration to ensure that the festival is informative, inclusive and successful.
All involved reaffirmed their commitment to making the festival a successful event designed to connect government work directly with the people and celebrate national progress.
Subsequent meetings will coordinate efforts as the festival approach. This year’s Civic Festival promises to be a colorful, vibrant showcase under the theme “SaloneBigPassWeAll” and it will reflect the country’s collective strength, civic pride and achievements.
